Hello! I’m Maria, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering virtual therapy in Virginia, in both English and Spanish. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University and have over six years of experience supporting children, teens, and young adults.

I help clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. My approach is holistic and collaborative — combining talk therapy with mindfulness, art, yoga, and evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe healing happens when we care for the whole self — mind, body, and spirit.

I’m trauma-informed and especially enjoy helping people build confidence, strengthen relationships, and navigate change with compassion. As a bilingual therapist, I also love supporting first-generation college students and immigrant youth as they explore identity, belonging, and balance.

Through a community partnership, I provide free short-term behavioral health therapy (STBH) to low-income and uninsured students referred by Fairfax County Public Schools or the Fairfax County Department of Family Services. (Referrals must come directly from a school counselor or social worker.)

I’m currently accepting private pay clients and offer evening and weekend appointments to make therapy more accessible and flexible for busy schedules.

Your mental health is important. Take the time to find a provider you connect well with — one who will help you make meaningful progress. You know yourself best.

If you’d like to explore working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
